About Dora Mendez, MPA

Dora Mendez, MPA (she/her/ella), is a C-Suite Executive, Leadership Coach, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant. LinkedIn: Coach Dora Mendez!

Formerly the Vice President of Human Resources and Chief DEI Officer at the United Hospital Fund (UHF), Dora played a pivotal role on the senior leadership team, aligning HR and DEI expertise with UHF’s mission and values.

Before UHF, Dora served as the Director of Talent and DEI at the Student Leadership Network, dedicated to achieving education equity for underserved students. Earlier roles include Director of HR at New York Legal Assistance Group and leadership positions at The Bridge, Inc., and Win (formerly Women in Need).

In public service, Dora contributed to hundreds of investigations into human rights violations at the NY State Division of Human Rights and Fair Housing Rights, including a unique training program for domestic violence survivors at HELP USA’s Fair Housing Justice Center.

Dora holds an MPA from the City University of NY-John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she now teaches as an Adjunct Professor and is a Contributing Author “Latinas Rising Up in HR Vol. III - Executive Edition” (2024). A lifelong New Yorker, Dora resides with her husband, Dylan Rogers, and their two children.
