Reflecting on Black History Month: Are Commemorative Celebrations a Thing of the Past? 

As we celebrate Black History Month, it's important to reflect on its significance amidst the growing backlash against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Despite the challenges and resistance, Black History Month remains a crucial time to honor the achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout history. It's a reminder that our journey towards “liberty and justice for all”  is far from over.

In the face of adversity, let's continue to uplift and support each other, ensuring that the legacies of those who contributed to the promise of the United States of America are never forgotten. DEI initiatives may face opposition, but our commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society must remain unwavering.

Let's use this month to educate, inspire, and advocate for inclusive leadership.
