A New Chapter in Leadership & HR | Coach Dora Mendez

September 08, 2026•3 min read

As we return from summer break, I’m proud, and a little emotional, to share some exciting news: I began a new role as Managing Director of Human Resources at a large multi-state nonprofit organization.

This opportunity brings together so much of what I care about: courageous, compassionate, and inclusive leadership, along with the thoughtful use of AI, at an organizational scale.

And while this marks an important new chapter for me, it does not mean stepping away from the community and work we’ve built together.

Coach Dora LLC is not closing. It is evolving.

Coach Dora LLC Is Evolving

I will continue serving my existing clients, supported by my virtual assistant and customer success team.

Our Fractional CHRO engagements will also benefit from a trusted bench of subcontractors who share our commitment to responsive, values-driven service.

Meet the team carrying this work forward and learn more about their expertise.

This evolution allows Coach Dora LLC to continue supporting organizations with their people, culture, and leadership needs while expanding the team of trusted professionals behind that work.

A New Approach to Career Coaching

Although I will no longer accept new one-on-one coaching clients, career coaching will remain an important part of the Coach Dora community.

I will personally assign prospective clients to a certified coach whose career-coaching philosophy closely aligns with mine.

The goal is to make sure people seeking career support can continue receiving thoughtful, personalized guidance from someone I trust.

Building Leadership Community Is Growing

Building Leadership Community is growing, too.

I’ll remain behind the mic, and we’re partnering with Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) to record select episodes in the studio.

We look forward to bringing you a dynamic mix of virtual and in-person conversations with leaders willing to share not only what they know, but what they have learned along the way.

Sunday Reflections Continue on Substack

My weekly Sunday Reflections will continue on Substack, where I’ll share insights on leadership, work, wellness, and the moments that shape us.

Subscribe to Sunday Reflections.

It remains a space for more personal reflection and conversation, and a way for us to stay connected each week.

Career Clarity Mondays Continue on YouTube

Career Clarity Mondays will continue on YouTube, bringing you monthly tools, actionable tips, inspiring stories, and practical strategies to help you land your next job, secure that promotion, or confidently pivot into entrepreneurship.

We’re also building toward a community of 1,000 YouTube subscribers, and we’d love your help reaching that milestone.

If you haven’t subscribed yet, watch After Career Loss, Do This Instead of Hustling Harder, hit Subscribe, and share the channel with someone ready to make their next career move.

Moving Forward, Together

Thank you for trusting me with your careers, teams, and leadership journeys.

This new chapter expands how I can make an impact, but it doesn’t change what has always mattered most about this work: people, leadership, connection, and community.

You remain an important part of it.

With gratitude,
Coach Dora
